If you have ever been to a Florida Gator football game you have heard the stadium scream this cheer. Well today was not a great day to be a gator. A very good friend of ours, Cory, is a gator nuisance trapper. I have always wanted to go with him to watch. I think alligators in the wild are so cool to watch. They just stroll up and down in the waters like everything is a ok. Well not this morning, we caught a 4 1/2 footer. That was big enough for me. The neighbors all came out to watch and take pictures. I was all excited. Then the moment came and Cory asked me to hold it down on the bed of his tailgate while he fixed something. Here lies the problem, I do not like to touch things like that. My husband baits and releases my fish. I felt bad because it was just him and me and he took me out there to help. But remember earlier i said to watch! He had one hand behind it's head and the other around the back legs and tail. I figured I would at least try to hold it. I wasn't really grabbing it as holding it down on the truck. It was not moving much so everything was ok. All of a sudden it wakes up out of its exhaustion and starts to move its head and tail. I am now yelling at it "Don't you think about it." Cory was laughing so hard at me. I had to explain that the gator and I were just having a little conversation over here and could you please hurry up! I have made it home with all my fingers and toes. That was absolutely AWESOME!
